PHILIPPE PARRENO AT SOLOMON R. GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM
24 OctoberPhilippe Parreno is amongst a group of ten artists invited to collectively formulate a scenario for an exhibition at Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, New York. Taking its title from a term coined by Giles Deleuze to define a coherent space comprised of multiple and shifting viewpoints; the exhibition ‘theanyspacewhatever’ constitutes a mutual rethinking of the early modernist impulse to conflate art and the everyday. Organised by Guggenheim Chief Curator, Nancy Spector, in close collaboration with the artists, the exhibition opens with Parreno’s marquee of neon and flurorescent light juxtaposed against the museum's iconic facade.
