Performance 29.11.2018, 5-9pm
30.11.2018 – 20.01.2019
November 29th 2018, Rirkrit Tiravanija is hosting a large ‘pig roast’, welcome for all to join, in front of our gallery. During the roast, a hole will be made through the gallery’s currently bricked up facade and the artist’s solo exhibition ANTWERP ROAST will become accessible to all visitors. Tiravanija’s pig roast recalls Gordon Matta-Clark’s participation in the Alanna Heiss-curated art event Under the Brooklyn Bridge, where Matta-Clark roasted a pig, using car jacks to prop up the meat over the fire, and fed friends, visitors and assistants.
