The exhibition DIGITALIA takes place on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the six-person artist group hobbypopMUSEUM. The artist group as a band, traveling in the world of art, and everywhere, where they stop on their never-ending tour, the respective exhibition site transformed into a total art play; that is one of the guiding principles of hobbypopMUSEUM.
The meeting of the artists in the exhibition space and the collective, at first painterly exploration of space emanates an associative process, which gives spontaneity and speed a great freedom. Also in the choice of means that can cover everything, from painting and sculpture to video and performance. It is an approach that is directly related to a search for and reflection on liveliness. hobbypopMUSEUM are: Sophie von Hellermann (* 1975, lives in London), Marie-Céline Schäfer (* 1967, lives in Zhaoqing, China ) and Christian Jendreiko (* 1969), Matthias Lahme (* 1974), Dietmar Lutz (* 1968) andAndré Niebur (* 1973), all four live and work in Dusseldorf.
